Overview

PS Store Enhancer (formerly GameDeals+, then PS Store Insight) is a browser extension that enhances the PlayStation Store website. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it's used, and how it's stored.

Data We Collect

Data We Do NOT Collect

No personal information — we do not collect your name, email, address, or payment information.
No analytics or tracking — we do not use Google Analytics, telemetry, or any tracking service.
No data sharing — we do not sell, share, or transmit your data to any third party.
No remote servers — all data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate any backend servers.

Third-Party APIs

The extension communicates with the following external services to provide its features:

No personal or identifying information is sent to these services. Only game titles are used as search queries. If you add games to your wishlist, their titles are sent to CheapShark once per day in the background to check for price drops; this can be disabled by removing items from your wishlist or turning the feature off in settings. As you type in the PlayStation Store's own search box, the text you've typed so far (2+ characters) is sent to CheapShark to show enriched suggestions (thumbnail, title, cheapest PC price) in a dropdown; this happens only while the search box has focus and can be turned off in settings ("Live Search Suggestions").

PSN Account Connection

Connecting your PSN account is entirely optional. If you choose to connect:

Your NPSSO authentication token is stored locally and used solely to communicate with Sony's API.
Your game library data (game titles and categories) is stored locally for the owned-games filter.
To sign in, the extension briefly places your token in the browser's cookie for Sony's sign-in domain and restores whatever cookie was there before (or removes it) as soon as the attempt finishes, so it never overwrites or leaves behind a Sony session.
You can disconnect your PSN account at any time from the extension's settings page, which immediately deletes all PSN-related data from local storage.
No PSN credentials or data are ever sent to any server other than Sony's official API endpoints.

Permissions

webRequest (optional)	Only if you choose to connect PSN and Chrome hides Sony's sign-in redirect from extensions: lets the extension read that redirect, observation only. It is requested at that moment, never at install, and nothing else uses it.

Host access is limited to: store.playstation.com (UI injection), ca.account.sony.com & m.np.playstation.com (optional PSN), cheapshark.com (prices, Metacritic and Steam ratings), and api.frankfurter.dev (currency rates). The extension requests no other site access.

Sharing a wishlist

"Copy share link" (settings page, your action only) builds a link to a static page on this website with your wishlist encoded in the part of the URL after the # — game names and last-seen PC prices only, no targets or notes. Browsers never send that part of a URL to a server, so nothing is uploaded or stored; anyone you give the link to can read the list.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
Cached API responses expire automatically (4-24 hours depending on type).
Uninstalling the extension removes all stored data.
You can manually clear all cached data from the extension's settings page.
Erase all my data (settings page and popup) disconnects PSN and deletes everything the extension stored locally — wishlist, owned games, caches, recorded prices and the diagnostics log. Your preference settings are kept.

Children's Privacy

This extension does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The extension does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
